Product information "3M Reflective Transfer Film Segmented 5510"

• Roll width: 50.8 mm
• Roll length: sold by the metre
• Application: heat transfer (iron-on)
• Colour: silver
• Standards: ISO 20471

Please note that the film is available in two directions. Right-hand (5510) refers to the direction of the stripes in vertical position of the roll. The direction of the stripes is mirrored when applied to the textile. The left-hand version of the tape has the no. 5510M.

3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material has been developed for high-visibility garments used for professional as well as non-professional applications (road and rail works, transportation, rescue services, cyclists).

Features of 3M™ Scotchlite™ Reflective Material 5510:
• highly reflective, exceeds requirements of ISO 20471
• wide-angle reflectivity
• brilliant white when illuminated
• for application on polyester and cotton
• washing: 75 cycles at 60 °C (ISO 6330 6N)
• dry cleaning: 30 cycles (ISO 3175-2)

Das Produkt ließ sich mit Bügeleisen auf

Das Produkt ließ sich mit Bügeleisen auf Stufe 3 und gutem Aufdrücken gut auf Baumwolle aufbringen. Es reflektiert sehr gut, z. T. sogar so stark, dass es schon blendet - je nach Lichtintensität und Winkel. Absolute Empfehlung, würde ich wieder kaufen. Jedoch war ich bei der Weisungsrichtung verwirrt. Ich nahm an, dass sich "rechtsweisend" auf das fertige Textil bezieht, nachdem man die Transferfolie abgezogen hat und es dann auch von links unten nach rechts oben abbildet. Allerdings kam es genau gespiegelt an. Ist jetzt das rechtsweisend auf den Transferfilm bezogen? Oder ist hier ein Fehler passiert? Ist für mich jetzt nicht weiter schlimm aber hier würde ich mir eine klarere Definition wünschen, idealerweise mit Beispielbild eines fertigen Textils. Deshalb musste ich einen Stern abziehen.

Sehr gute Qualität

Haftet ausgezeichnet aber nicht gut auf frischer Imprägnierung, die besser erst auswaschen. Lässt sich gut verarbeiten, Bügeleisen zwischen 2 und 3. Reflektionsvermögen hervorragend, original Scotchlite. Waschfestigkeit konnte ich noch nicht testen.

Die Zwischenräume sind offen. Es lässt sich damit nichts überdecken.
