Wide transport units are often accompanied by escort vehicles, which call people’s attention to the abnormal vehicle or load dimensions with the help of rotating beacons and safety markings. For the escorting car in front of the truck, our vehicle marking sign “Vorsicht! Überbreites Fahrzeug” (which means "Caution! Wide vehicle follows") is the perfect choice.

Fewer accidents thanks to better visibility

Usually transport vehicles of abnormal width are on the road at times when there is only light traffic, e. g. from dusk to dawn. Because of the bad light conditions, the escort vehicles' marking signs should be reflective. For our signs, we use the premium reflective film ORALITE® from Orafol, whose reflectivity class is RA1/A.

Besides its ability to cast back light, the film excels with its outstanding durability, making it highly suitable for daily use on busy roads. It withstands scratches, impacts, all kinds of weather conditions and particular chemical agents like solvents, weak acids, salts and alkalies. It also is corrosion-proof. Its normal service life is approximately 7 years, if the film is used as intended.

If your escort vehicles have various functions within your fleet, we would recommend you opt for a sign with magnetic base, which you can quickly remove and mount again and again. The most flexible option is the sign on a polycarbonate plate with suction cups.

A sturdier solution is our sign on an aluminium composite base (Dibond®, which can be mounted with rivets or screws. If you prefer something permanent, the reflective film as a self-adhesive sticker is for you.
