All You Need to Know About Edge Sealing Tape
The self-adhesive edge sealing tape protects the trims of retro-reflective films like container markings or vehicle markings. These high-performance vinyl films have a multi-layer structure, which is prone to get damaged by entering water or dirt. Also, the margins of applied reflective markings sometimes lose their adhesion and peel off. Transparent edge sealing tape covers the trims of the reflective films and enhance their adhesion.
In our shop, you can choose between 3M™ Scotchcal™ and a protective tape from Orafol®. It is recommended to use the products of the same brand, e. g. both the reflective sheeting and the edge sealing tape from 3M™.
For the professional application of vinyl films and edge sealing tape, we recommend the use of a powerful surface cleaner and a durable squeegee.
