What You Need to Know About Reflective Tape
Reflective tape is cut from the main reflective sheeting rolls in various widths. Since we offer many different reflective products – from vehicle livery to traffic sign sheeting – you can find a wide variety of reflective tapes in our shop. (If you look for larger sheeting rolls, please use the search field above.)
How to choose the right tape?
Which tape to pick depends mainly on the object and its material you would like to mark since the tapes have special adhesives for different surfaces.
Also, reflectivity performance is something you should consider when buying reflective tape. In general, there are three reflectivity classes:
RA1 – basic reflectivity
RA2 – high reflectivity
RA3 – maximum reflectivity
For example, tape with the strongest reflectivity might be too bright for indoor usage and hence not the best choice for warehouses. Whereas RA1 might be too subtle for marking hazards on a construction site.
Reflective tapes differ in their structure and hence flexibility. For round objects like bollards, it is important to look for a thin and supple tape. Rigid tape would be hard to apply over curves and it would lose its adhesive power over time.
We offer a great range of colours (including fluorescent), especially for the tapes you can use for leisure purposes, for example on kids bikes or helmets.
Permanent or temporary use:
Some reflective tapes are removable, others are meant for permanent use only.
No matter which tape you pick, you can be assured of excellent quality and durability. We only sell reflective tape from the top manufacturers 3MTM and Orafol®.
Where to use reflective tape
In industrial applications, you can mark scaffoldings, machines, plants and other potential hazards.
For private usage, you can make leisure accessories or sport equipment more conspicuous, for example helmets, scooters, prams, walking sticks or poles. Outside the house, you can also mark dustbin, rain barrels or the gates of your driveway. Increase your safety by making obstacles more visible.
