What You Need to Know About Container Markings
There is a huge variety of containers. Especially the bigger ones – e. g. skip containers on a construction site or a residential waste bins – can become a safety hazard for car drivers in dim light conditions. Reflective markings with chevron pattern can help to make these obstacles better recognisable.
What Are Container Markings Made Of?
Safety markings for containers consist of reflective sheeting. We only use products by 3MTM or Orafol®, since you can always rely on their top quality.
All our reflective container markings correspond to reflectivity class RA2, construction type C. This means that the sheeting is highly reflective thanks to many small microprisms, which intensify the reflectivity performance.
Withstanding all kinds of weather, the marking films are also hard-wearing and can be used for several years.
You can choose between self-adhesive markings, which are ideal for permanent usage. If you need markings for short-term applications, then the magnetic design is for you.
How to Maintain and Apply Container Markings
Before applying container markings, please make sure the substrate is clean. In order to increase pressure and eliminate air bubbles trapped in the film, you may want to use a squeegee.
For cleaning container markings, please use lukewarm water and common detergent only. Avoid any abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents as well as brushes with hard bristles since they can damage the film surface.
For more information, please refer to the detailed application and care instructions in the respective information sheet of each product.
