Truck Sign Blind Spot „Angles Morts“ France

When entering a city centre in France, lorries and their trailers are required to show a sign that make other road users aware of the driver‘s blind spot (in French: angles morts). Especially when turning right, the driver’s view is considerably impaired and many accidents have occurred because of this blind angle.

This new rule applies from January 1st, 2021 and is based on the French traffic act (Code de la route) R.313-32-1. Our truck signs conform to the new French law regarding design and colour scheme.

Important notes on the reusable signs with silicone backside (adhesive - reusable PET film)

The silicone coated PET film does not adhere to the substrate as strongly as the magnetic film. Therefore, it is very important to make sure the surface is completely clean and smooth before the application of the slightly adhesive sign. Otherwise, there is the risk of losing the sign on the road. It is also recommended to use the sign only when needed and to avoid any trips with the signs attached when they actually are not required (e. g. on motorways).
