What You Need to Know About Our Vehicle Safety Markings with High Reflectivity

In many countries, safety markings are mandatory for utility vehicles if they are used for specific purposes (e. g. road construction works). The markings differ in appearance, depending on the country and its law. While in Germany you can see striped markings in red in white, in other countries like the UK chevron patterns in fluorescent colours prevail (you find these in the section “Emergency Vehicles” in our shop).

In addition, the requirements regarding reflectivity performance vary as well. Some EU countries stipulate high reflectivity for vehicle safety markings and hence adopt the French standard TPESC-B or the German standard DIN 30710.

What are the Highly Reflective Vehicle Markings Made Of?

We offer reflective films from the brand manufacturers 3MTM and Orafol® only so that our clients can always rely on top quality.

The powerful retroreflectivity is due integrated microprisms, which reflect incident light first between prisms like between tiny mirrors, and then cast back the light to its source. Thus, these films correspond to reflectivity class RA2 and provide wide-angle reflectivity.

How to Maintain and Apply Vehicle Markings

Before applying vehicle markings, please make sure the substrate is clean. In order to increase pressure and eliminate air bubbles trapped in the film, you may want to use a squeegee.

For cleaning vehicle markings, please use lukewarm water and common detergent only. Avoid any abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents as well as brushes with hard bristles since they can damage the film surface.

For more information, please refer to the detailed application and care instructions in the respective information sheet of each product.
