3M Edge Sealing Tape Scotchcal 100-114

The transparent Scotchcal 100-114 edge protection film from 3M is recommended for sealing the edges of films when applying 3M 983 series conspicuity tape or 3M 3410 series automotive warning markings to prevent contamination or peeling of the film edges.

Heat-removable

Preparation:

The surface should be cleaned of grease and dust in advance using a surface cleaner. Application:
1.    Measure the length of the area to be covered and cut the edge protection film from the roll accordingly.
2.    Pull the protective paper approx. 10 cm from the film and fold it over.
3.    Stick half of the edge protection film onto the edge of the warning marking film and half onto the vehicle surface.
4.    Then press the edge protection film down firmly with a squeegee as follows:
-    First press down the edge protection film on the warning marking.
-    Then press down the film at the transition between the warning marking and the vehicle surface with a plastic squeegee.
-    Finally, press down the film on the vehicle surface.
