A mounted machinery in agriculture and forestry is an equipment that can be attached to a tractor. It is considered a vehicle by law and must be authorised accordingly. This authorisation can be granted for two ranges: national and international. Different requirements apply to the labelling of the attachments:
a) Germany: For national approval in Germany, the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO) must be complied with and warning signs in accordance with DIN 11030 | must be attached. Alternatively, the warning signs can also comply with ECE Regulation 70 Class 5 | .
b) Europe: For approval by the EU, the requirements of ECE Regulation 86 regarding lighting equipment must be complied with and warning markings (self-adhesive film sheets) in accordance with ECE 104 Class F must be affixed directly to the vehicle. Alternatively, warning signs in accordance with ECE 70 Class 5 can also be attached.
