Safety Valve Mark

Since January 2023, there has been a new marking of tanks in the ADR regulations: The SV sign to identify tank vehicles equipped with a safety valve. (ADR 2023, Part 2, 6.8.3.2.9.6, p. 509)

This applies to tanks that transport flammable liquefied gases (safety valve obligation).
Tanks that transport compressed gases, non-flammable liquefied gases or dissolved gases may be fitted with a safety valve. If this is the case, marking with the SV sign is also mandatory.
